I am a freelance artist / designer based in Huntsville, Alabama, but I’m happy to work (by phone or web) with clients from anywhere!
I graduated from Samford University (Birmingham, AL) in May 2005 where I received a Bachelor of Science in Fine Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design from the Howard College of Arts and Sciences.
In March 2007, I married my husband, Jeremy, and we (and our dog, Leia) moved to Huntsville to begin our new life. In March 2010, Jeremy and I welcomed our first child, a happy, healthy, little boy into the world! Since June 2007, I have worked full time at The Ledges Country Club here in Huntsville. In addition to being a supervisor, I am responsible for the creation of all graphic design and marketing material for the club.
From the time I was a small child, I have always said, "I will be an artist when I grow up!" Whether I was drawing, painting, decorating clothes or constructing miniature towns, anything creative was for me! During childhood, I won a variety of kids' art contests, took classes at art museums in Ohio and Massachusetts and attended creative arts camps. Art was always a big part of my life.
During high school, I took as many art classes as I could. I was on the yearbook staff for 3 years, where I served as a senior editor and was also an active member of the WRHS Art Club (voted Club Favorite and WRHS Miss Pioneer as a Senior). During these years I was introduced to Computer Graphics! I began making calendars, business cards, and even started up a personal website. I was hooked! When it became time to look for a college, finding a school with an excellent Graphic Design program was a must. I knew that Graphic Design was the artistic path I was going to take!
During my 4 years at Samford University, I took a variety art classes in addition to my liberal arts curriculum. I was voted "Most Artistic" in my sorority, volunteered at a local art museum and began taking in a few freelance projects. After graduating, I continued graphic design and studio art as a freelancer and also worked at a frame shop where I learned the art of custom matting and framing.
As I continue my life as an artist, I look forward to working with a variety of clients and participating in exciting, new projects! Art is my passion, and I take designing very seriously, while always enjoying what I do!
I would be delighted if you considered me for your next project.
